Sound Recorder Widget is a widget for the Android platform allowing easy recording of audio from the home screen. You can download it on your Android phone/device using the Market app.

The widget uses the free Rehearsal Assistant app for recording and playback, and will download it the first time you try to use the widget.

  1. Go to your phone's home screen
  2. press the MENU button
  3. select Add, then Widgets, then one of the Sound Recorder widgets

Note that the 2x2 widget has only a record button. If you use this widget, you will need an additional 2x1 widget to access the playback button, or will need to open Rehearsal Assistant directly to access all of your recordings.

To start and stop recording, press the record putton. Each recording will be saved and can be played back by pressing the playback button on the 2x1 widget, or opening Rehearsal Assistant directly.

To turn on the option, open the Sound Recorder Widget APP (you will find it with your other apps), press the MENU button, and select Settings.
